Hi friends, it's Day 16 here on the blog for my December Daily series! I just want to thank you for checking things out and for following along every day. I hope you are having a fantastic December and that you are leaving here feeling inspired. Just a note as we approach the final few days before the big day, that I am planning to continue posting daily until the 24th, but will probably be spacing out process videos every 3 days. Don't worry, everything will still be video'ed and presented here! But tomorrow is the last day of school for our kiddos and that means my creative time will be a bit shorter. After the 24th I plan to take the 25th and 26th off from video-ing and scrapbooking, then I will return for one final December Daily post to wrap it all up.
Alright, so here is Day 16 as I created it for the Foundation Pages:
I could not wait to add a photo to the top of the transparency, and my daughter Natalie wrote a great little story that goes perfectly there:
This girl absolutely loves Christmas. She gets so excited about all the things related to Christmas - the presents, the tree, the ornaments - she loves it all. Her story was about her tree she drew, and I love her black moon that, to her, proves everyone was asleep:
The bottom half of the page is a transparency with printed words from the Ali Edwards Main Kit, which has been cut down and layered on top of a clear transparency so the photo would have a home. The gold stripe washi tape holds it in place, and the silver star lets us know it is Day 16.
On the other side I included a close-up of her holding the drawing and the story. She had made a little book, and I really wanted to put the whole booklet in the December Daily album, but she was adamant that I could only take pictures of it. Ha.
I love her drawing so much, and since she had included her special black moon, I added the stars via another transparency on top. That transparency is housed in a flip pocket by Simple Stories so it can be opened and the drawing seen without:
Above her drawing I added one of the white wooden trees in the Main Kit, and I stamped words plus added the silver glitter tape to each tier. A star on top and it's perfect:
And here is a final look at the layout outside of the album:
I love these stories and I love when our children become involved with the December Daily process! This girl especially loves to see what I've created each day. I hope you are loving it too, now go, do and create!
See you soon,
