Hi lovelies, today's video is a traditional layout that I created about my bathroom! I really wanted to be better about documenting the DIY projects that my husband and I undertake, and on Week 10 this year we completed a tile project in our bathroom. Here is the process video for that layout:
So I knew I wanted to use Pink Paislee's C'est La Vie collection, and it truly is a beautiful combination of modern, colorful, trendy goodness that I can't get enough of.
I admit freely that I struggle to cut papers. So in order to make myself use these, I just cut large pieces and layered them on top of each other. Ridiculous, I know! But the layers do add dimension to the layout, and also provide a backdrop for the embellishments on the page.
When I create traditional layouts, I am a big fan of horizontal lines that carry your eye across the page. This helps me to get a sense of order on my page, and makes a few design decisions easier. I encourage you to experiment with different design orientations and see which ones you like. Make the ones you like the ones you go back to time and time again - those become your signature look.
Even though there is a lot going on in this layout, it really was quite simple to put together. And the end result is beautiful. Please let me know in the comments what you think, too!
