Hello Lovelies and welcome back to my Project Life 2019 album! Today I am sharing my July monthly layout using several of my Elle’s Studio kits that have been gathering on my desk. If you’d like to see more of this album project, I invite you to check out this link here: Larkindesign Project Life 2019. Follow along with my process here.

I had so much fun pulling this layout together. It turned out I had quite a few more photos than would fit into one 2-page spread, so I added an insert using a Becky Higgins Design F. This gave me space for some of the vertical 3×4 photos and I love it. Let’s take a closer look.

I began the layout with a date card that becomes the jumping off point for everything else. All the colors come from this card, and you will find them repeated in other places across the layout. I had the summer puffy stickers from Elle’s Studio as well, and committed to using some of those!

Our stories included a day at a local water park called Emerald Pointe. The girls got to go as part of their day camp, so we made sure the boys got to go as well. I hung out under our cabana and read my book, which was absolutely relaxing and perfect!

At the bottom of my layout I created a journaling card in the 4×6 pocket so I had a bit more room for writing. I used one of the patterned papers in this month’s kit for the background (so I had lines!) and layered a part of the pink floral card on top just for a bit of visual interest.

The insert has one 4×6 photo of a rather typical site in my studio: Alan working at my computer helping with the technical side of things here at Larkindesign. He helps things stay afloat here many days and I am so thankful for all he does. I also wanted to write the story about my book, a biography of Bunny Mellon. I admit I am a bit weird about reading, but I was interested in learning more about this very wealthy lady who owned the most beautiful  beach in the world. I had space for a few filler cards and loved the sunglasses! The flip flops puffy stickers were also rather cute, so in they went.

When you flip the insert you find the right hand side of the layout. I included a car photo with the girls, where we were picking them up from day camp. Alan and I also had a fun date night, it was one of those really simple but fun ones that just became a favorite.

We had several date nights in the month of July, and even though I don’t necessarily remember where we went, what matters most to me is that we were together and I have such fun photos from it! I also took a photo of Alan washing the windshield of my car. He always fills the gas and cleans it for me, and I always want to remember that. I used the yellow journal card to tell that story, and added the simple My Favorite stamp at the top. Notice Zoe the cat, who sleeps with her tongue sticking out!

For the right side I began with the green card and added more puffy stickers to create a fun title. That left a bit more space for journaling, so I stamped some lines and then added the orange puffy sticker in the bit of white space that was left. This side has a bit more pink, which I love. The red and the other colors from the very first journal card tie it all together!

My favorite might be the popsicle puffy stickers, which I added to the calendar card! What a great way to document this memorable month from last summer. Thanks so much for joining me! See you again soon!
